Moments later, as the world focuses into a new normality, Hassbek has slipped his hand from Vincenzo's and presently ambles towards a large tree. "Chazu!" overtakes whatever the Cortesian guard might have had to say, and reality becomes a blur. However, both Torelli's words and Vincenzo's recognition of this are cut off by a very clear, punctuated magical word spoken by the elder wizard, Hassbek. In that moment, Vincenzo realizes there is a subtle, but discernible alchemical odor wafting up from the small rat-man.
